Must See Destinations

Blackwater Falls

Just a 10min walk or 2min drive from the house. Don't miss the Two Bridges Trail which starts/ends here and follows the river in a circular route around Little Garve.

Corrieshalloch Gorge

Dramatic views within a mile-long canyon with waterfalls & a Victorian suspension bridge. Several walking routes to explore and the newly built Corrieshalloch Gorge Gateway Visitor Centre.

Rogie Falls

Waterfall with close-up views from a suspension bridge, several walking routes and known for leaping salmon in late summer.

Ullapool

Pictureque Port village overlooking Loch Broom. Plenty of independent shops to explore and a selection of bars/restaurants. The (35min) drive takes you through some lovely scenery.

Loch Ness

Nessie has plenty of space to hide in a loch that is 23 miles long, deeper than the North Sea and with more water than all the lakes in England and Wales combined!

RSPB Tollie Red Kites

This natural reserve offers close-up views of our most graceful bird of prey. See volunteers feed the birds every day.

Wyvis Natural Play Park

A fantastic play park and forest adventure for the kids just a 3min drive or short walk from the house.

Dornoch

A family favourite, Dornoch has a beautiful and expansive sandy beach as well as lovely shops and Royal Dornoch Golf course. Worth a visit in any weather!

Clachtoll Beach

Spectacular postcard perfect beach with golden sand and turquoise clear water. Bring a wetsuit if you want to swim - the Atlantic is cold!

Abriachan Forest Trust

Great for families with lots to explore for all ages. Play park, easily accessible woodland walks and mountain biking trails with spectacular views over Loch Ness.

Contin Forest

Contin Forest is home to the legendary Strathpuffer circuit and has a great selection of mountain bike trails for all abilities, from short and flat to tough and exhilarating singletrack.
